H is for Horse

We finally got a good half hour/forty minutes in of sit down preschool time today.  We worked on the letter H. First the the boys made horses out of the letter H.  Then we did two worksheets- circling the big and little letter H's and writing big and little H's.  I picked two "h" sight words to add to our collection- his and has.  So we did our sight word board where the boys get to look at a word on a card, then they have to use magnetic letters to spell the word and then use a marker to try to write the word.  I also introduced play-doh where I gave the boys rolls of play-doh that they used to write out their sight words.  So we practiced "his" and "has" and some of our older words too.  We finished with a silly game where the boys had to use their bodies to make a letter H.  It totally didn't work!  Even when I put them in the right position, they giggled and squirmed around before I could snap a picture and show them what they looked like!  Oh well!  It was fun if nothing else!!!

Now lets hope that H is also for happy.  The boys have a photo shoot tonight for a Michigan based non-profit called Partnership for Dads.  The good news is that their daddy is shooting with them!!!  Hopefully all goes well  :)
