Slide Etiquette and the Downfall of the Human Race

Ok, I've said this before- but now I'm going to go on a short rant about it.  I am absolutely certain that the downfall of the human race can be traced directly back to playground etiquette.  Slide etiquette to be more specific.  Why is is so difficult for parents to teach their kids that they are to go UP the stairs and DOWN the slide?  Because when your kid is climbing UP the slide and my kid is going DOWN, you bet your butt that I'm not going to stop my kid from kicking your kid in the head.  But then (and only then) you're going to get off your iPhone to come over and give me a dirty look because my kid left a shoe imprint on your kid's face.  But really- I truly believe that slide etiquette is a child's first introduction to the rules and order of life and that a quick trip to the local playground will reveal why our world is the way it is.  Because when mommy is texting her best friend the entire time her kids are at the park throwing rocks on and climbing up the slide, her children are missing out on an important lesson:  If everyone follows the rules, we can all co-exist and function peacefully because we respect each other.   But your kid is going to grow up to be the moron who sees the "Left Lane Closed in 1/2 Mile" sign and run up that left lane until the very last second then cut everyone off and slow down traffic to get over before the lane closes because he never learned to follow the rules and social order of life when he was 3 years old and you were too busy texting to think it was important for him to learn proper slide etiquette.  And just so you know- I flip those drivers off.  Sometimes I wanna flip your kid off at the park too.  Instead I just let my kids go down the slide and kick them in the face.  End rant.
