I've got to say- as a mother of two three year olds, I'm not a huge fan of Halloween.  Costumes and decorations that are terrifyingly inappropriate for preschoolers who shouldn't even know what a monster is- check. Candy my kids have no idea exists- check.  Beloved Charlie Brown special where the kids bully each other- check.  Annoying teenagers who can't take the time to half-ass a costume but want said candy anyways- check.  I'm struggling to come up with any redeeming qualities.  Well- I can come up with one...  or should I say two  :)  The boys wanted to be rocketships for Halloween and when daddy is confronted with a creative task- you know he's gonna go all out!!!!   They got to wear their costumes to gymnastics class this morning which was lots of fun, especially when they both got so excited that they toppled over!  We did let them trick or treat at Grandma's house where they each got a little train and some stickers and then we let them do a few houses near Auntie Liz's house.  Their costumes were a huge hit, but they weren't too interested in getting candy.  They had fun for a few minutes but after a few houses they wanted to come home to play with their trains.  I can't complain- especially because they were even less interested in eating their candy than they were in collecting it!  But they really were adorable...  Happy Halloween from our two tiny rocketships.  BLAST OFF!!!!!
