RECAP: BAA Member Annual Meeting & 70th Anniversary Celebration

On June 13, 2012, the Bel-Air Association (BAA) hosted its Annual
Meeting at the beautiful Bel-Air Country Club. This year's
meeting marked the incredible milestone of 70 years in existence.


It was an exquisite evening that began by hosting the first ever
"Vendor Village," held in the foyer of the Bel-Air Country Club. The "village" featured several local vendors that provide exclusive discounts to Association members.

At 5:45pm, we opened the doors to a beautifully outfitted room
featuring wonderfully decorated tables, incredible flower
arrangements, vintage old-Hollywood posters and much more.



At 6pm, Executive Director Paulette M. DuBey and President Marvin
Elkin hosted a focused business meeting, highlighting several
accomplishments of the past year (Project Pothole, Operation
Guardrail, Keep Bel-Air Beautiful, Coyote Task Force, E-Prep,
etc).

Then the celebration really kicked-off, with a surprise guest
appearance by long-time Bel-Air resident & Association member
Bob Newhart.


At the end of his appearance, he introduced the second
entertainer of the evening, Robin Swenson, an excellent pianist
and singer who entertained the members with countless Sinatra
-style tunes and renditions. To celebrate the Association's 70th Anniversary, everyone
joined in signing "Happy Birthday."
The remainder of the evening was filled with a wonderful buffet
of hors d'oeuvres, wine, conversation and celebratory atmosphere.
