The Boys Big Screen Debut!!!

Tonight is the night!  How exciting!  Last spring, the boys got the amazing opportunity to film a few scenes in Jason Segel's new movie Five Year Engagement and it opens in theaters nationwide tonight.  Jon and I had the pleasure of attending the Michigan premiere last week, and I promise you that it is a really cute movie!  And the best part?  Both scenes that the boys filmed made it into the movie and BOTH boys made it onto the big screen!  Matthew's scene comes first- its the funeral scene for the 4th grandparent and he is sitting on Alison Brie's lap.  Caleb is in the Cookie Monster/Elmo scene with Emily Blunt and Chris Pratt- you can't miss him, its the funniest scene in the whole movie!!!  They are just small scenes, but it is such a cool feeling to see your babies adorable little faces on the big screen!

From beginning to end, the whole experience has been so much fun for all of us.  The boys truly had a great time on set- they absolutely loved playing with Zoe, the little girl who plays their on-screen sister, Vanessa.  Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, and Emily Blunt were so great to work with- they were so amazing with our boys, especially Alison!!  Bummer they didn't have any scenes with Jason Segel though!  LOL!   The experience opened up some new opportunities for the boys, and we've just had fun letting it ride its course  :)  We've met some amazing people along the way and have had the chance to expose the boys to things we never thought possible.

So although Jon and I already got to see the movie, tonight we will be going out with all of our friends and family.  We are so excited to share this moment with the people who mean the world to us and to our boys!!!

 Second day of filming- the boys and their "sister" Zoe had a never-ending picnic on the front lawn outside of the house...  they found the food truck and it was love at first sight!
