A little garden update!  The boys have worked so hard on their vegetable garden.  They've been involved every step of the way- from going to the store to buy our soil, building the raised beds, selecting what to plant, planting the seeds, and for the past few weeks- watering and watching our plants grow from invisible seeds to big leafy greens!  Yesterday they got to experience the joy of their first harvest! Most of our plants aren't quite ready to produce their veggies yet, but our basil plants are growing big and strong.  So we decided to make a white pizza for dinner last night and the boys got to go out back and pick some basil leaves to put on it!!  They were so incredibly excited and it was such a proud moment for us to watch them pick and eat the food that they grew from tiny seeds  :)  Sadly, we've got to take a month long break from our gardening adventure while we're in California, but Grandma has agreed to take care of our veggies for us until we return...  and hopefully when we get back we'll have all sorts of yummy stuff to eat!
